Russian oil major Rosneft and China’s Beijing Enterprises may sign an agreement on cooperation in gas sphere within the framework of the meeting between prime ministers of Russia and China in St. Petersburg on November 7, a source in the Russian government told reporters on Wednesday.
“There is an agreement between Rosneft and Beijing Enterprises on cooperation in gas business,” the official said. The document is at the final stage of coordination, he added.
The source also said that an agreement on acquisition of 20% Verkhnechonskneftegaz by China’s Beijing Enterprises from Rosneft may also be signed on November 7,
“The agreement between Rosneft and Beijing Enterprises is on the final stage of approval,” he said.
