“Despite the fact that the period in relations between Russia and Germany is quite challenging now, German investors remain key investors in our country. I would like to sincerely appreciate their efforts in this field,” the Prime Minister said.

The company has business “from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok” in Russia, Medvedev said.

“It is also critical for us the company sets task of localizing production and bringing the localization level to about 80% in several years. We believe therefore this project corresponds to the Russian industry’s development strategy and will support it,” he added.

The new production facility will provide a considerable number of jobs for Russian, Medvedev said.

“The company is working in Russia for quite a long period of time – 20 years and it is highly important that production of its equipment will start in our country,” he said.
