Spanish ICT provider Ezentis has renewed its operation and maintenance contracts with Brazil’s largest mobile telecom operator, Telefónica/Vivo.
The contracts will be extended through 2018 and are worth 498mn reais (US$128mn).
Ezentis will maintain Telefónica/Vivo’s network infrastructure in 10 Brazilian states, as well as the company’s internal network in Sao Paulo.
Ezentis currently maintains and operates 25,600 cellular towers for Vivo, Claro(América Móvil) TIM and American Tower.
Last January, Ezentis acquired local network maintenance company Ability for 55.4mn euros.
In 2015, Ezentis has secured contracts worth up to 400mn euros, representing a 26% growth rate over 2014.
