The second Russia-China small and medium-sized business forum is scheduled to take place in April in the Russian city of Sochi, Co-chairman of the Russian-Chinese Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development Boris Titov said.

“Our small businesses have already acquired partners, defined the main projects, cooperation has started. We’ve decided that we will hold a second forum on the development of small and medium-sized business relations in April, in Sochi,” Titov said.

According to Titov, Russia and China have great potential for closer cooperation in the sphere of agriculture, infrastructure development and construction, particularly housing construction.

“We think that our cooperation with China could grow at a significantly higher pace. The current economic situation is to the advantage,” Titov stressed, explaining that Russia needs technological investments at the current stage of economic modernization.

The first Russia-China forum of small and medium-sized businesses, titled “The vast potential for small and medium business” took place on April 21-22, 2015 in Beijing.

The forum was organized by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the Russian-Chinese Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development and the Russian Agency for Small and Medium Business Support.

Over 320 Russian business representatives and about 500 businessmen from China took part in the event.
