The APEC summit, currently underway in the Philippine capital of Manila, brings together 21 Pacific Rim countries, including the United States, Russia, China, Japan, Australia and South Korea.

“Next year we are hosting the prestigious global innovation forum – the World Conference of the International Association of Science Parks “IASP”. We invite all our APEC partners to take part,” Medvedev said.

The 33rd World Conference on Science Parks and Areas of Innovation is scheduled to take place in Moscow on September 19-22, 2016.

The Russian prime minister highlighted the importance of regional economies complementing each other in scientific and research fields, human resources and commercializing innovative projects.

“Sharing these benefits and access to the practical application allows us to offer a new quality of economic development in the region,” Medvedev said, adding that Russia is ready to work with its partners.
