“In the program of the forum are presentations of Russian and Chinese regions, separate small and medium companies, meetings and talks of entrepreneurs and representatives of the authorities of the two countries, thematic sections and roundtables,” the organizing committee said.

The forum will be officially opened at the plenary session “Russia and China – today and tomorrow: Economic Belt of Great Silk Road.” Among participants will be Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, China’s First Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli, Russian business ombudsman Boris Titov, Russian presidential envoy to the Southern Federal District Vladimir Ustinov, Russian Deputy Economic Development Minister Oleg Fomichev.

The decision to hold meetings between representatives of Russian and Chinese small and medium business in the format “one year in China, one year in Russia” was made after a successful forum in Beijing in April 2015. The forum brought together over 320 representatives of 145 small and medium businesses from 38 Russian regions, Russia’s federal and regional authorities.

The forum is organized from the Russian side – by the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development, Russian-Chinese Business Council, Council of Innovation and Technological Centers of Russia, Center for Supporting Coordination of Export of the Krasnodar Krai; from the Chinese side – by the Chinese-Russian Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development, and Chinese State Committee for Development and Reforms.

The Russian-Chinese forum for small and medium business in Sochi will finish on May 31.
