A public tender should be held when building the Vlad-Expo exhibition center on the Russky Island in Vladivostok, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev said on Tuesday at a meeting in Vladivostok ahead of the East Russia Economic Forum.

Authorities suggest discussing two major investments projects at the forum, construction of a ring road and the Vlad-Expo exhibition center, Mayor of Vladivostok said at the meeting.

“We have recently talked about construction of a shopping and entertainment center on the Russky Island, where a public tender is needed and a winner should be determined. Somewhat similar may be done for the exhibition center. It will be proper, logic and good,” Trutnev said.

The First East Russia Economic Forum will be staged in the Far Eastern Federal University on the Russky Island from September 3 to 5, 2015. Representatives of the government authorities of Russia and the Asia-Pacific Rim nations, businessmen, industry experts and investors are expected to attend the forum. New investments opportunities of the Far East and its integration with the Asia-Pacific economy will be presented within the forum framework.
