Head of the Center for Strategic Research and former Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin noted that President Putin’s state-of-the-nation address to the Federal Assembly was focused on economic issues.

“In general the stress in the president’s address was laid on economy, economic agenda is coming to the fore,” he wrote on his Twitter.

Kudrin also marked the political component, saying that “the policy of developing the political system, direct democracy institutes and higher competitiveness of elections is absolutely justified.”
