On February 9-10, 2015, the 2014-2015 Midterm Meeting of the BRICS Business Council was convened in Brasilia, Brazil. The five chapters of the Council fully discussed a series of topics including the Second Annual Report, New Development Bank, trade facilitation, technical standard harmonization, etc. Officials from the Brazilian government, including Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, BNDES, and Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, had a roundtable with the BRICS Business Council members. After the meeting, a joint statement was released to the media.
