Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev urged to use conservative and tough scenario in forming the budget. “There are different projections of our development parameters, but there is a common understanding,” he said at a government meeting on Thursday.

“In forming the budget, we need to use this very conservative, or, if you prefer, tough scenario primarily related to the items that form the budget. This includes oil prices, prices of other commodities and, of course, continuing sanctions restrictions,” he added.

Medvedev explained that in order to balance the budget it is necessary to “treat income and expenditure planning conservatively. In addition, establish stimulating economic policy. We have to do it under budget constraints,” the premier said.
