Russia’s Rusal, the world’s largest aluminum producer, has increased the aluminum production by 1.4% to 2,724 thousand tonnes in nine months of 2015, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The bauxite production in the reporting period grew by 7.2% to 9,834 thousand tonnes and the output of aluminum oxide by 1.1% to 5,496 thousand tonnes.

Rusal operates in 19 countries on five continents. Rusal employs about 61,000 people. The company sells its products primarily in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Japan, China and South Korea. Rusal shares are traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
