The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies will launch the South African United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Investment Policy Framework for Sustainable Development (IPFSD).

Last month, UNCTAD launched its new and comprehensive IPFSD.

 

UNCTAD’s IPFSD is a guideline for national and international investment policy making to support more sustainable development-friendly investment policy making. It is conceived to assist policymakers design policies that effectively mobilise investment and ensure its positive contribution to sustainable development.

In addition, it is conceived to support new-generation investment policies that focus on inclusive growth and sustainable development.

 

The launch is jointly organised by UNCTAD, the Mandela Institute at Wits School of Law and the EDGE Institute University of Johannesburg.
