MIAMI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Citi, through its Treasury and Trade Solutions division, continues to expand its global Commercial Cards business by adding Brazil to its market leading proprietary platform ECS+, further strengthening its offering in Latin America.
Citi has offered Commercial Cards in Brazil for some time, but migration onto Citi’s global platform enables both multinational and local clients to benefit from a globally consistent customer experience, wide global acceptance and digital tools that enable greater visibility of their organization’s spending.
The ECS+ development in Brazil is in line with Citi’s strategy of offering a consistent experience for Commercial Card clients across all geographies.
“Latin America is a key strategic region for our global clients, and this significant investment represents our continued commitment to enhancing our solutions across the region. This will ensure that cardholders and clients have access to consistent services, wherever they are in the world,” commented Citi’s Global Commercial Cards Head, Manish Kohli, at the launch event in Sao Paulo.
Citi’s Commercial Card programs have proven their value as an effective means for enhancing bottom-line profitability. Treasury departments of corporations and public sector entities can streamline their procurement processes, while cashing in on critical costing savings, increasing staff productivity, as well as improving their purchasing power and cash management efficiencies. Citi’s program also provides increased transparency and control over Travel & Entertainment expenses.
“The launch of local issuance capabilities in Brazil represents an important milestone in this key strategic market for Citi – one requiring local solutions that will meet the high service standards demanded from global clients. Citi will continue to make the technology investments necessary to provide clients with a high quality and consistent experience globally,” says Adoniro Cestari, Treasury and Trade Solutions Head Brazil.
Every new commercial card country expansion leverages the same innovative proprietary infrastructure, providing a sophisticated yet configurable solution into all new territories. Citi has rapidly expanded its geographic footprint and now offers local currency issuing capability in more than 65 countries around the globe.
Citi Commercial Cards, with proprietary issuance capabilities in 100 countries, has long been considered a leading commercial card provider to large and multi-national organizations globally. Citi Commercial Cards’ products form the core of the expense management strategies for nearly 500 multinational corporations, making Citi a premier card issuer in terms of technology, innovation and volume.
