China Construction Bank Corp., the nation’s second-largest lender, reported a 0.9 percent increase in first-half profit from a year earlier.

Net income for the six months through June 30 rose to 131.9 billion yuan ($20.6 billion), an exchange filing showed on Sunday. That compared with the 132.3 billion yuan median of 10 analysts’ estimates compiled by Bloomberg News.

Construction Bank was the last of China’s four biggest banks to report earnings, with their numbers crimped by bad loans and weaker economic growth.

The lender’s profit compared with six-month gains of 0.3 percent for Agricultural Bank of China Ltd., 0.6 percent for Industrial & Commercial Bank of China Ltd. and 1.1 percent for Bank of China Ltd.
