On 17 November 2015, on the eve of the Third Meeting of the BRICS Education Ministers, Moscow will host a session of BRICS senior officials from related departments.

They will discuss the forming of a common education space, support for joint research projects, statistics of all educational levels, publication of scientific papers, development of joint projects on post-graduate education, accreditation of academic programmes, and the adoption of quality standards in education.

One session will be devoted to the BRICS Network University. The participants will discuss a draft memorandum of mutual understanding on creating the university, which will define the principles of its operation.

During their meeting, senior officials will pay special attention to the recognition of diplomas and certificates in the BRICS countries.

In addition, they will review the need for permanent official representatives from the BRICS countries to coordinate BRICS programmes and projects on education, information exchange and the monitoring of education standards.
