• India is hosting the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi on 12-13 September under its chairmanship theme of resilience, innovation, cooperation, and stability.
• Following Intelligence Bureau alerts, Delhi Police and central security agencies have tightened security around summit venues, major hotels, VIP routes, key government institutions, and transport hubs.
• Agencies are monitoring potential protests, objectionable graffiti, drone flights, and attempts to disrupt VIP movement, with special attention to China- and Russia-linked issues.
