Russian blogger and Think BRICS co-founder Anastasia Golyakova praised the warm welcome she received in New Delhi during the BRICS summit.
She said it was her first visit to India and expressed hope that the summit would focus not only on trade and cooperation but also on peace amid global conflicts.
She noted that Russia's economy is performing well despite sanctions and said cooperation with BRICS partners, including India and China, strengthens it.
She suggested that greater use of local currencies and digital payment systems could deepen BRICS cooperation.
Indian PM Narendra Modi said BRICS has completed 20 years and entered a maturity phase, calling for a new and ambitious agenda for the next two decades.
Modi said BRICS has built a distinct identity on the global stage and needs to convert internal unity and consensus into concrete global outcomes.
