The 18th BRICS Summit is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on September 12 and 13, 2026, with India as the host.
On September 11, all government and recognized private schools under Delhi's Directorate of Education are closed, while security and traffic restrictions are in force.
On September 12, leaders will arrive from 2 p.m., followed by a closed-door session on strengthening inclusive global governance and multilateralism.
The September 12 program includes an India Innovates exhibition, a group photo, tree planting, and a gala dinner hosted by the prime minister.
On September 13, leaders of partner and invited countries will arrive, and the summit's open session will begin before the summit formally concludes.
Delhi traffic will be affected for three days, with about 4,800 traffic police deployed, more than 35 major roads controlled, and diversions at 22 locations.
