Delhi LG discusses traffic plan for BRICS Summit

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu visited the Delhi Traffic Police Headquarters in Todapur and discussed traffic congestion, road safety, and preparations for the upcoming BRICS Summit.
Delhi Traffic Police briefed him on planned traffic arrangements for the summit, which will bring Heads of State or Government, dignitaries, and foreign delegates to Delhi.
Officials assured that tech-driven arrangements would be made for the safe and seamless movement of foreign dignitaries, the Prime Minister, and other ministers while minimizing inconvenience to the public.
Sandhu directed senior traffic police leadership to coordinate closely with other agencies to ensure smoother traffic movement.
He stressed stricter enforcement of road discipline, proactive management of congestion hotspots, and citizen participation in traffic management.
The meeting also covered traffic improvement schemes such as Traffic Pathshala, Traffic Panchayat, and special enforcement drives against dangerous violations.
