• NDMC has intensified preparations for the BRICS Summit to ensure the capital appears clean, green and secure for international delegates and visitors.
• The arrangements cover sanitation, beautification, horticulture, infrastructure, electricity, public health, enforcement, parking and continuous monitoring according to international standards.
• Special arrangements are being made for BRICS Bazaar, BRICS Run and Ride, BRICS Murals and Painting, and BRICS Food Festival, with nodal officers assigned for coordination.
• Forty-one key roads have been divided into 14 monitoring circles, with daily inspections and field walks by officers to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
• City beautification plans include floral boards at 15 locations, floral fountains at 9 locations, and special landscaping and lighting at 17 roundabouts.
• NDMC will maintain 24×7 sanitation from September 9 to 14, deploy extra staff and night-duty teams, and provide temporary dustbins and mobile toilets.
• BRICS branding will appear on 154 digital screens and about 83 public or common toilet facilities, while a control room and 24×7 command centre will monitor citizen services in real time.
